The International Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing premier customer service to all current and potential customers from the point of initial contact through delivery of the product. The International Inside Sales Representative must also achieve sales and profit goals established by the management team at Corrosion Materials – Houston Branch. (CMI)

Responsibilities and Duties

As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Inside Sales Representative. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.                

·         Increase sales and provide support for current customer base as assigned.

·         Prepare proposals, quotes, and sales contracts.

·         Promptly respond to Request for Quotes for current and potential customers. Overall goal is no later than 24 hours per RFQ.

·         Coordinate workflow with company staff to achieve closing of sales quotes.

·         Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals set by the General Manager, i.e., dollars booked and calls per day.

·         Proactively review open orders and advise customers of delivery status changes.

·         Provide technical assistance and solutions for customer returns.

·         Manage account services through follow-up and quality checks.

·         Develop and maintain existing product knowledge and sales materials.

·         Formulate analysis of sales data to assist in establishing specific account pricing.

·         Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.

·         Communicate effectively with other Inside Sales Representatives, Field Sales Representatives, management, and other co-workers.

·         Prepare and present various sales status reports to Inside Sales Manager weekly that includes activity, follow-up, closing, and adherence to targets.

Summary of Position

The Machinist's main objective is to read and interpret sketches, prints, and other related technical data to produce quality parts. The Machinist is responsible for producing high quality machined parts via the use of a diverse variety of machining methods and equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Read sketches or drawings to determine the tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences while utilizing knowledge of machine tool capabilities, machinability of materials, and shop math. When applicable, create a CNC program using G-code language for the appropriate machine that will machine the part accurately and efficiently. Edit CNC programs as needed for optimal performance. Maintain a library of proven programs for future use.
• Set up tooling, work holding, and workpiece, and operate a variety of machining equipment to perform various machining functions, such as turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, grooving, and milling of metallic and non-metallic workpieces.
• Adjust machining parameters such as speeds, feeds, depth of cut, to maximize tool life and minimize run times while maintaining a high level of quality end product within customer requirements.
• Perform dimensional inspection of all machined parts using basic measuring instruments commonly required during parts inspection (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).  Inform supervisory personnel when raw product, events, or finished products are not conforming to required standards.
• Maintain traceability of heat numbers on all raw materials and machined parts in accordance with the quality procedure requirements.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area and machine to aid in the efficient operation of the CNC machine.
• Maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with all supervisors and co-workers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machine and related systems.
• Estimate scheduled workload capacity and running time to assist the supervisor with machine shop logistics and job scheduling.
• Perform all job tasks in a safe manner as per company safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge and use of basic hand tools during the machining process, such as files, wrenches, and de-burring tools
• Ability to interpret basic 2D blueprints to determine part dimensions for inspection purposes
• Basic understanding of cutting tools used for machining and their proper applications.
• Basic understanding of measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and how they function

Responsibilities and Duties

As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Waterjet Operator. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require. 

• Interpret sketches and draw all orders on the machine’s CAD Program, read shop orders and other related technical data, in order to determine the machine’s set up and control settings.
• Retrieve material from the plate racks using overhead crane, forklift or handcart.
• Draw or nest parts for cutting in order to maximize yield and minimize waste.
• After cutting, inspect and measure each piece, then mark according to quality standards.
• Properly mark alloy, spec, heat, and size of piece on the material.
• Scan materials in when processing an order and scan materials out when processing of the order is completed.
• Process any paperwork associated with the order, including bar code tags, cycle counts, as well as exception report inventory counts.
• Maintain the waterjet machine by loading all garnet, inspecting bellows, hoses, pumps, filters, flow meters, and various pressure fittings around the machine.
• Repair minor leaks and keep the cutting heads clean to avoid damage due to clogs.
• Visualize part placement on starting stock and be able to layout cut patterns from memory.
• Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.
• Use precision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers, and calipers.
• Cross-train other team members as assigned.
• Adhere to all CMI's safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.

• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggest changes in working conditions and equipment to increase efficiency of processing department.
• Maintain accountability of inventory processed through reports and cycle counts.
• Use labor time reports to improve efficiency of processing staff and decrease idle time.
• Monitor order processing to maximize material yield and minimize scrap.
• Develop ideas for continued upgrading of manufacturing procedures and equipment.
• Maintain accountability of tooling and supplies used in the processing department.
• Lead, coach, and train processing staff in quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives to meet and exceed CMI metrics.
• Fill in where needed within the processing department to ensure timely shipments of orders.
